Hamed Soleimanzadeh, a renowned film critic and lecturer in Iranian cinema, has been selected as a jury member for the FIPRESCI Prize at the Zagreb International Documentary Film Festival (ZagrebDox).

 

ZagrebDox, recognized as one of the most prestigious documentary film festivals worldwide, is a specialized event focusing on the presentation and screening of innovative, independent short and feature-length documentaries. The festival presents numerous awards, including Best International Film, Best Regional Film (Balkans region), Human Rights, My Generation, and FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics).

 

The 20th edition of this festival will take place from April 14 to April 21, 2024, featuring over 150 documentary films from around the globe in Zagreb.

 

Hamed Soleimanzadeh currently serves as a cinema lecturer at the University of Göttingen, Germany, and boasts a distinguished record of jury membership in over thirty prestigious international film festivals, including the Golden Globe Awards, Cannes, Berlinale, Karlovy Vary, Oberhausen, and Gothenburg, among others. Additionally, he is the founder and director of the Abbas Kiarostami International Short Film Festival.
